This sixties enameled brooch measures 1 3/4" across. The goldtone base is enhanced with strong geometric pennants of red and blue across the eagle's neck. The bald eagle's head is off-white. The eye is a cutout, with a ruby rhinestone suspended in the space. This patriotic piece of jewelry seems inspired by the same very strong, forward-thrusting, geometric designs seen in cars of the period.
